AB  - The provision of high concentrations of oxygen is often part of the treatment of cardiac or respiratory disease. The use of domiciliary oxygen is generally limited to those patients with advanced chronic respiratory disease. It can be given in a number of ways - as continuous long-term therapy, as portable oxygen therapy, or intermittently for short periods. This article discusses the benefits and costs.
